Even a scraggly little bush, struggling to bloom, is given star quality and status. In this painting, it is placed center stage, among all the thriving nature and, takes our attention with it's bare branches reaching out toward the other trees and with the ones that have managed to grow leaves. It makes us wish to help and water it, even trim the branches. Leading to it, is an expanse of field with a few saplings, telling nature's simple story of birth and renewal. MG
