This idyllic barn, situated next to the artist’s house, could not escape being painted. It stood there for generations as the epitome of the traditional Canadian family farm. Not long after being put on canvas, this barn, sacred to some, suffered a fatal blow. Like many other iconic scenes, it was completely demolished to give rise to a multi national cement walled factory.
