Fall foliage in Canada cannot go by unnoticed even for the uninitiated. In October the forest turns a fiery red. Birch trees are the first to lose their bright yellow leaves. Painters, however, are drawn to their beautiful white bark, which can be often technically challenging. Birch trees usually huddle around each other. Very pleasing to the eye, is the way that the trunks and crimson red branches climb up into the sky, as one can see in this small painting.
