This is one of Rhyn’s last works and, one of his largest painted in his garden, overlooking the neighbouring house with the red roof. He was in his mid nineties at the time, but his creativity and strength of composition was more in keeping with that of a young man. The abundance and lushness of the flowers overwhelm you, creating a feeling of happiness and glee.
