Rhyn was exclusively a plein air painter, where the use of photography had absolutely no value. He loved to observe, study, communicate and finally paint his favorite subject trees. As a perfectionist, he  tried to communicate, not only the beauty, but also the psyche of the plant world. In this work, the fine lace like branches, each individual and strong, seem to be reaching out to the viewer, inviting us to join them.
