In landscape paintings, we find the phenomenon of harmony. Harmony of colour means that local colours, illuminated under the same light source, reflect light in direct proportion to the distribution of the light; because of this, the colours of things, in the visual field, mutually reinforce one another, giving the world around us order and beauty.
