This large work done in Van Gogh's style of impasto swirling strokes shows movement and turbulence. We struggle to see cast shadows or value structure. We cannot tell where the light is coming from. Does it matter? Not really, as Rhyn focused on shape, colour and form, depicting the intensity of a natural event. A phenomenal work of art.
