The composition is obvious. Multiple round shapes are the focus, drawn to depict the trees and their reflections. We then see darker tones wandering in between. The darks are meant to solidify and to unify. Our vision is then further enhanced by the ubiquitous yellow application, so typical of Rhyn. Is there anything else that we can see and admire? The answer is yes! What remains outstanding are the amazing brush strokes, which in reality, look and feel like lacework.
