Rhyn painted flowers with a passion. This was especially true of gardens and, even more so of wild flowers. In this beautiful array of nature before our eyes, one experiences the precise feeling of looking up on a hill, in mid summer. The view is spectacular. The flowers are innumerable; they are all white and look like lace. The mood is green, and yet vibrant. The effect must be related to his superb drawing, as he uses very little colour to reach such great artistic value.
